This year we are heading to Camp Calvary to spend the weekend being best friends with mentally and physically handicapped folks from around the area. Adventure-Camp allows these folks to participate in “church-camp” like a lot of us have in the past but with modifications to make it a weekend to remember for them. If you are interested in serving you need to be ready to serve. This will not an opportunity for you to play on your phone all weekend. (There isn't phone service out there ….and you will be too busy!)
As a “buddy” you will be responsible for a camper to make sure they get where they need to go, get their food (if they can’t) and depending on their mobility you may be helping them get ready for the day. Don’t worry. You won’t be alone in this adventure but you will be changed and you WILL have fun!
